Workers.be is a recruitment and career matching platform, with its registered office at Rue des Ursulines 2, 1000 Bruxelles, Belgium, registered under company number BE 0456.681.542.

This policy applies to all users of the Workers.be platform and covers how we handle data collected through:

  • Account creation
  • Job matching activities

3. What data do we collect?

a. Information you provide directly:

  • When creating an account: name, email, password
  • When completing your profile: education, work experience, skills, job preferences, optional media, address, email, profile picture, languages spoken, phone and any other information mentioned on the uploaded CV.
  • If you’re a recruiter: company details, job descriptions, contact info
  • When contacting support or participating in surveys

b. Information collected automatically:

  • Log data: device info, IP address, time stamps, browser type
  • Usage data: clicks, viewed pages, saved jobs, interactions
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy)

c. Information from third parties:

  • If you log in via LinkedIn or another social account
  • When accessing the platform through referral links or job boards

4. Why do we collect your data?

We process your data for the following purposes:

a. To operate and maintain the platform

  • Manage your user account
  • Enable matching between candidates and employers
  • Facilitate messaging and communication
  • Ensure smooth technical operation

b. To personalize your experience

  • Recommend jobs or candidates based on your profile and activity
  • Show tailored search results
  • Remember your preferences across sessions

  • Send notifications, reminders, and transactional emails

5. Legal basis for processing

  • Only data you choose to make public will be shared

  • Hosting, analytics (e.g. Google Analytics), communication tools (e.g. Brevo), and IT support
  • We ensure all partners are GDPR-compliant and sign data processing agreements

c. For legal purposes

  • If required by law or court order
  • To prevent fraud or ensure safety

d. In case of business transfers

  • If Workers.be is involved in a merger, acquisition or reorganization

7. Cross-border data transfers

If we transfer your data outside the EEA, we do so under strict safeguards, such as:

  • You can delete your account at any time via your profile settings

11. Minors

The platform is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.
