Privacy and processing of personal data

1. Privacy policy

The Employer declares that it has read the Workers.be privacy policy, which is available on the workers.be website.

2. Processing of personal data by Workers.be

In the performance of its services, Workers.be processes personal data as data controller or data processor, as the case may be.

2.1. Objectives

Workers.be processes personal data exclusively for the purpose of managing job applications, bringing together job seekers/assignments and employers and improving the services offered on the platform.

2.2. Data processed

Personal data collected and processed may include:

  • Personal identification data (surname, first name, e-mail address, telephone number).
  • Professional data (CV, skills, professional experience, training).
  • Connection and usage data (IP address, user preferences, browsing history on the platform).

2.3 Compliance and instructions

Data processing is carried out in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Belgian legislation.
Workers.be only processes data on the basis of explicit and written instructions from the Employer when acting as a sub-contractor.

2.4. Sensitive data

Workers.be does not collect or process sensitive data unless strictly necessary and with the explicit consent of the data subjects. Specific safeguards are put in place where such data is processed.

2.5. Treatment safety

(a) Workers.be implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration, accidental or unlawful loss or disclosure.
(b) Access to data is strictly limited to staff members and authorized service providers with a legitimate need to access the data.

2.6. Subcontracting

Workers.be may use subcontractors for certain data processing operations (hosting, traffic analysis, etc.). These subcontractors are subject to the same security and confidentiality obligations as Workers.be.

2.7. International transfers

User data is not transferred outside the European Union, unless this is necessary and complies with data protection regulations.

3. Support and compliance

Workers.be is committed to helping Employers comply with their data protection obligations, in particular with regard to :

  • Exercising the rights of data subjects (access, rectification, deletion of data, etc.).
  • Notification of data breaches.
  • The implementation of appropriate safety measures.

4. Notification of data breaches

In the event of a personal data breach, Workers.be will inform the Employers concerned within 24 hours of becoming aware of it, and will communicate :

  • A description of the breach and the categories of data concerned.
  • Potential consequences.
  • The measures put in place to remedy the situation and limit its impact.

5. Termination of processing services

At the end of the contractual relationship, Workers.be will delete or anonymise all personal data, unless required to do so by law.
